We believe your teeth should last a lifetime, functioning comfortably, and your smile looking its best! Susan, our registered dental hygienist, has obtained additional training in prevention programs tailored to your situation. She can answer any questions you may have regarding oral hygiene and what products may work best for you. She is also trained in the use of ultrasonic techniques and non-injection anesthesia for virtually painless extensive cleanings.

Susan is very up to date on the latest advances in periodontal disease and how to treat it effectively.
The mouth contains a large number of bacteria that form a film called plaque.  In this film, bacteria that  cause periodontal diseases create toxins, which irritate the gums and bone. If you notice any of the following signs call us immediately:

  • Gums that bleed easily
  • Red, swollen , or tender gums
  • Gums that have pulled away from the teeth
  • Persistent bad breath, or bad taste
  • Teeth that are loose or separating
  • Any changes in denture or partial fit

With regular dental visits, dentist and hygienists can detect developing periodontal diseases early, before the gums and bone around your teeth are irreversibly damaged.

These diseases are progressive, and initially do not cause any discomfort to warn you of the problem. Please don't wait until it hurts!

Without good periodontal health, there can not be good general health

Periodontal disease can affect the state of your whole body. Over the past few years, studies have shown a definitive link between your oral health and your general health.
